Fincosit wins the bids for the Deep Basin (Manfredonia) and the Capobianco landfill (Brindisi). These are two strategic interventions, funded by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) and the National Complementary national funds, aimed at developing the two ports.
Regarding the intervention at the Port of Manfredonia, named “Refunctionalization of the Deep Basin (Baf),” the amount is 121 million euros, with 80 million covered by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan and 41 million from the Zes Recovery Fund.
The intervention at the Port of Brindisi, named “Quay construction and functional recovery of the yards of the Capobianco landfill” has a budget of 65 million euros. The project involves the construction of a quay with a depth of 12.00 meters at the foot, above sea level, extending approximately 375.00 meters. It is suitable for mooring a large ship or two medium-sized vessels. The adjacent yard, covering an area of about 14 hectares, will include the spaces occupied by the former “British Gas” landfill. The infrastructure development of the entire platform will render an area currently unusable at the Port of Brindisi.
